    Hello everyone,
I’m new here and got some questions:

As I red Mingyour Rimpoche’s books and order and recieved from Tergar “The guide to the joy of livinf level 1 and 2”, I’m interested to join the JOL 1 online course.

1.how is it that on the booklet, the program is for 6 month, and the course is 6 weeks ?
2.How will the live Webinar event work ?
will it be via webcam or just vids ?
Can we post questions or it’s just a couse ?
    3. Are the videos downloadable. If not, how long will they be visible ?

Thanks for answering, I’ll surely have some more questions very soon.

    kind regards from France,
    Thierry

PS please excuse my too bad englilsh.

The teaching offers 3 distinct options for dealing with my current preoccupation, an illness that is taking much longer than anticipated to clear. Making friends with the experience of pain and fatigue etc–what an interesting and useful practice…

Chapter 3: Beyond the Mind, Beyond the Brain is what your looking for. It starts on page 46 and ends on 58 as you said.

Hi Geri, Thierry, Chris and Jonathan –

This group is the general online group for all the Joy of Living Levels. If you are in the Winter Online Course, the discussion for the course is in the group called J1 Winter 2013 Course Group and you can find the link to it on the homepage of the course (scroll down), in the right column of the course, and in the emails about the course you are getting now that you are registered. Sorry for any confusion, or if the confusion about these posts is online mine 😉

      Best to you all,
      Kather

Hi all. I notice we are asked to read pp. 46-58 out of Joy of Living. I have that book on a e-reader (Kindle) that doesn’t show page numbers (only % of book), but it does show a table of contents with chapters and sub-chapters. Does anyone know what sub-chapter pp. 46-58 are out of? Thanks.

Dont tell me this town aint got no heart. you just gotta poke around…

Maybe activity will bump up once JOL 1 Online officially starts on the 9th.

Anyway, I’m in for JOL1. This will be my second time around. Did JOL 1 a couple years ago with Tim Olmstead and I’m due for a refresher.

Look forward to connecting with whoever shows up for this go around.

      @Thierry Good questions!
      1. The booklet, or handbook, is for 6 months worth of practice. These practices are taught either in a weekend workshop, or in the 6 week online course. In both cases, there are videos by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and Instruction from a Tergar Instructor. The online course gives you a chance to watch the videos any time of day or night, and you can watch them more than once. The live weekend has the advantage of being live, so you can meet and interact with students and the Tergar Instructor in person.
      2. The webinar is a live audio event, you may ask questions in advance and at the time of the event. It will be recorded and available online to listen to after the event.
      3. The videos can be watched as many time s as you want during the course and for one month after the course ends. They are not downloadable.

The online course also has an online discussion group with other students and a Tergar Instructor. And it has downloadable guided audio meditations.

      Hope this helps!
