These exercises are loosely based on traditional Tibetan yoga practices. Mingyur Rinpoche came up with these adaptations during his wandering retreat and decided to teach them when he returned. You can do these practices as a support for your Joy of Living meditation routine. They are a great way to practice awareness of sensations or to practice open awareness while in movement. One suggestion would be to do them before your daily sitting meditation session. You can also do them throughout the day to loosen the body and calm the mind. And don't forget to listen to your body. If you feel pain or discomfort, don't push yourself. Enjoy!
