Reflection Question

  • Mingyur Rinpoche explains that many forms of “happiness” may actually lead to suffering in the long-term. This includes, for example, the pleasure of overeating, smoking, or drinking alcohol. He also mentions activities that lead to lasting happiness, such as practicing awareness and compassion. Do you experience this difference? If so, how so?
