Perhaps you want to meditate but aren’t sure how to begin, or maybe you’ve been meditating for a while and could use some inspiration. Whether you’re just getting started or have been meditating for years, Mingyur Rinpoche’s teachings are sure to breathe new life into your practice.

The Tergar community provides many opportunities to learn more about the practice of meditation, including workshops and retreats, seminars on the philosophy and practice of Tibetan Buddhism, and an extensive library of freely offered teachings.

Learn to Meditate Online

The Tergar Learning Community (TLC) offers a variety of courses that you can follow at your own pace. It doesn’t matter where you live or how busy you are. If you want to get a feel for Mingyur Rinpoche and his teachings, check out our free Intro to Meditation course. This self-guided course includes four teachings that cover the basics of meditation practice. There’s even a forum where you can share your experience or ask a Tergar practice leader questions about meditation practice.

If you’re ready for some in-depth instruction, then check out our Joy of Living Level I seminar, the first level of Mingyur Rinpoche’s Joy of Living program. In this six-week course, you will explore the landscape of experience with mindful awareness, learning how to use the body, sensory experiences, thoughts, emotions, and even awareness itself as supports for meditation. And Joy of Living Level II, Opening the Heart, teaches you how to awaken loving-kindness and compassion through meditation.

You might also want to check back each month to watch Mingyur Rinpoche’s Monthly Teaching and to browse our growing library.
