Mahamudra is considered the most profound and direct path to awakening in the Kagyu school of Vajrayana Buddhism. The Voices of Mahamudra course offers a diverse range of live elements, featuring prominent voices in Vajrayana Buddhism who will speak on various aspects of Mahamudra practice. Additionally, Tergar guides will provide further instruction through live Dharma Chats, guided meditations, and discussion forums. Mingyur Rinpoche

Mingyur Rinpoche was born in 1975 in the border region between Tibet and Nepal. He was attracted to a life of contemplation from an early age and spent many years of his childhood in strict retreat. Mingyur Rinpoche studied with some of the greatest masters in living memory. Nowadays, he heads the Tergar Meditation Community and takes care of the monasteries under his responsibility. He supports students in more than thirty countries.

Elizabeth Callahan

August 9, 10 AM ET

Elizabeth Callahan is a Tibetan translator of the Kagyu tradition. She completed two three-year retreats in the Karma Kagyu tradition under the guidance of Kalu Rinpoche, is a student of Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, and has been a Tsadra Foundation Fellow since 2002. Her most recent translation is the first Marpa Kagyu of Jamgon Kongtrul's Treasury of Instructions, and previous translations include Moonbeams of Mahamudra by Dakpo Tashi Namgyal. She is also a director of Marpa Foundation and gardens in upstate New York.

Karl Brunnhölzl

Karl Brunnhölzl began his career as a physician before transitioning to become a Buddhist translator and teacher. He has been translating and interpreting from Tibetan and English since 1989. Karl is a respected senior teacher and translator in the Nalandabodhi community of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, as well as at Nitartha Institute. He has authored and translated numerous texts and is currently focused on the Seventh Karmapa's compilation of Indian Mahamudra works.

Lama Yeshe Gyamtso

August 23, 10 AM ET

Lama Yeshe Gyamtso is a highly skilled Tibetan Buddhism translator who completed two traditional three-year retreats. He has worked as an interpreter for several renowned teachers, including The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, and Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. The central text in the annual transmission, Tilopa's Ganges of Mahamudra, is derived from Lama Yeshe Gyamtso's oral translation of Thrangu Rinpoche's teachings.
